A Rappahannock grand jury returned indictments Monday against nine food stamp recipients for welfare fraud.
After hearing testimony from case worker Janice Moffett, the grand jurors found true bills on Teresa A. Brown and Frank Brown, Bessie M. Jenkins and Elwood V. Jenkins and Charles B. Nicholson all of Sperryville; Mary Frazier of Washington; Elma Jane Coefield of Wood ville and Nancy Phillips and Alan Cruz of Front Royal.
