All Rappahannock County farmers are encouraged to report their planted acreages of fall seeded crops of oats, wheat, barley and rye as soon as possible. Farmers participating in the Acreage Reduction Program or the Payment-in-Kind Program are required to file an acreage report. Fall seeded crops reports must be filed by June 10, 1983. Spring seeded crop reports for com and grain sorghum must be filed by July 15, 1983. A Report of the Conservation Use Acreages must also be timely filed. Failure to meet the applicable deadline for these crops on participating farms will result in loss of 1983 program benefits; and if you are participating in the Payment-In-Kind Program, failure to report accurately and timely will result in the farmer’s payment of liquidated damages. These reports are vital to all base farms in Rappahannock County - participating farms, because of program benefits, and non-participating, because of history information on the farm to prevent the loss of base acreage.
