“I never want to go back. I lost my home because of drinking—that and other problems. I disappointed people I worked for and they didn’t call me back for other jobs.
“I thought I’d feel much better, physically, as soon as I stopped. But the change has been gradual. I’ve lost a lot of weight. I do feel good. I’m proud I was able to do it, but I don’t really know if I’ve done it yet. I guess it never stops.”
