Mr. and Mrs. Clarence E. Hitt of Haymarket announce the engagement of their daughter, Bernice Hitt Austin to Donald H. Dean, Jr. of Manassas.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School and is presently employed with the Federal Government.
Mr. Dean graduated from High School in Pulaski and is employed by New Creation Custom Homes.
An early July wedding is planned.

There will be a sock hop at the Elementary School Friday from 7 - 9 for all ages. Proceeds will go toward playground improvements.
