On the last night of our trip, we stayed at a Holiday Inn in Richmond. We got there about 6:30 after leaving the Dismal Swamp. We unpacked and went to dinner in the dining room. After dinner we saw a movie entitled, “The Eye of Jefferson”. The movie told about how Jefferson had been a great architect. Jefferson liked Greek ways of designing, expecially the domes in buildings. When he was asked to design the capitol building of Virginia, he decided that he would put a dome in it. He also did this with his home Monticello.
