Rappahannock’s unemployed should take advantage of the opportunities that will come to the county on May 23-25 with the Warrenton-based JobShop’s visit.
For at least the past six months, Rappahannock has led the five-county planning district in unemployment rate. People here can’t look for local businesses and industry to pick up and begin hiring again. Rappahannock doesn’t have that kind of commercial base. But people here can look to jobs opening in surrounding localities as the economy begins its long awaited upward swing. To get those jobs, however, they need training — and that’s where The JobShop comes in.
