After shopping at Merchant’s Square, taking a rest, and having dinner, we went on the Lathorn Tour. We met our costumed guides at the courthouse and walked down the street carrying lanterns to the Apothecary Shop where they made medicine. Next, we went to the milliner who sold fabrics, hats, clothes and shoes. We walked down the street, down the steps behind the Post Office to the Book Bindery Shop. The Colonials made paper out of rags and covered books with leather.
Last we went to the Print Shop. There the guide put tiny letters on the press, blotted it with ink, and put paper on it. He pressed the paper to the inked letters. Then he took it off and hung it up to dry.
