Volunteer positions for students are available next summer and fall in Yellowstone National Park, Olympic National Forest in Washington, the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska, Havasu Resource Area in Arizona and on the Appalachian Trail. ■ Young men and women between 16 and 18 years can experience the adventure of wilderness living through the high school program, which offers group work, education and recreation for three to five-week periods.

Two to four weeks are devoted to conservation work, including trail niaintenant, fencing and construction of bridges and shelters in isolated back country areas, where the participants live in self-contained tent camps.

Another week is spent in hiking and exploring a w ilderness area.
