Mr. and Mrs. Colin C. Rae, of Middleburg, were honored on their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception Aug. 31 at Briar Gate Farm in Huntly, the home of their daughter, Mrs. Robert Johnson.
The couple was married Sept. 5, 1935 in Sayer, Oklahoma. They moved to the Washington, D.C. area in 1945 where Mr. Rae was employed at the Naval Research Laboratory as a scientist. He retired in 1975 after 30 years of service.
In attendance at the dinner/reception were their seven children and spouses: Mr. and Mrs. Colin T. Rae, of Charlottesville; Mr. and Mrs. Richard A. Rae, of Richmond; Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Rae, of Leesburg; Mr. and Mrs. David L. Rae, of Charlottesville; Charlotte Rae, of Middleburg; Mr. and Mrs. Jay Rae-Silver, of Philadelphia; Mr. and Mrs. Robert F.
