Miss Virginia
So, you got all wrapped up in the Miss America pageant held this week, saw yourself walking down the flashbulb-studded platform hearing Bert Parks sing and you’re wondering how to get started in such a career.
Well, the trip to Miami next spring starts right here in Virginia.
The search is on for Miss Virginia 1986 who will represent the Old Dominion at the 1986 Miss USA pageant.

Deadline for all applicants is Oct. 10.
To be eligible, entrants must be single, never married, must live or attend school in Virginia and be between 17-26 years old as of May 1, 1966.
Contestants will be judged on beauty of face and figure, poise, personality and overall appeal. There is no talent competition involved. They must also be U.S. citizens.
The reigning Miss Virginia-USA is Dana Bryant of Richmond, one of the top 12 finalists in the Mia* USA Pageant.
