Joel Voorhees, first-year coach of the Rappahannock County High School girls’ basketball, saw his team win its first two games, both at home, both impressively.
The wins at least tied Voorhees aa the highest winning percentage of any active coaches.
“It was interesting to me," Voorhees said of the first two games, wins over Warren County and Manassas Park. “I’m very happy,” he added with the deadpan nature usually reserved for one with an untrained eye appraising some bizarre piece of pop art.
