Sheriff Woodward testified that White, a trustee, has caused “no trouble.”

“He does everything we ask him to do, and he even goes out and looks for things to do,” Sheriff Woodward said. “We don’t have to watch him at all.”

He said that he would not object to having White serve his sentence at the jail since “He’s been a great help.”

Crawford agreed with Sheriff Woodward’s testimony.

White testified that he had returned to Rappahannock on his own in March after he received notification of the grand larceny charge.
