The last girls to graduate
from Sperryville and Washington high schools left for college this week.
Five of our county girls will leave for Madison College this weekend. Two girls, Jean Brown and Joan Kelly Ay lor graduated from Sperryville High, and Gladys Reid, Jo Ellen Worth and Mary Karlan Fincham, were graduates of Washington High.
These are the last girls that will leave from two separate high schools, as the schools are now consolidated.
Good dairy cows sold at the Front Royal Livestock Market sold for $220-325; medium for $175-200; plain for $140-165. Blue-0 lambs sold for $30.50, Red-0 for $29 and red shoulder for $26.05.
C. Roy Jones, a Culpeper jeweler, advertised 25-point, or 1/4 carat diamond for $84; a 100point, or one carat, for $637.50
