Over 400 school patrons and

friends of education visited the Rappahannock County High School on Sunday, Sept. 18, when the Rappahannock Education Association held open house.

In every room of the building the Rappahannock Garden Club gave colorful evidence of their sincere interest in the “allaround” education of children.

The brand new high school welcomed students Sept. 1.

Billy Cameron, a member of the Flint Hill 4-H Club last year, was declared the winner of the 1959-60 sow project.

He was awarded a $25 check at the conclusion of the banquet held for contestants and their parents at the Hy-Wy Restuarant in Front Royal.

(Relatedly), 4-H Clubs are being organized in the schools this week: two at Washington Elementary, three at Sperryville Elementary, one at Forest Grove and two senior clubs.

Any girl between the ages of 10 and 21 may become a member.
