In 1966, his last year to race, Jay Trump was second to Mountain Dew in the Grand National but won My Lady’s Manor and his third Maryland Hunt Cup. During his retirement, Jay Trump was an eager foxhunter with the Camargo Hounds near Cincinnati, his owner’s home. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1971.
