Alvin E. Booth
Alvin Eugene Booth, 63, of Culpeper, died on Sept. 13 in a Charlottesville hospital after a short illness.
Mr. Booth was a native of Rappahannock and the son of the late Harry L. and Rose Smith Booth. He
was retired from the Quarles Oil Company and a veteran of World War II.
His survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Frances B. Stith, of Richmond, Mrs. Marion B. Wheeler, of Charlottesville, Mrs. Isabell B. Mitchell, of New Kent and Miss
Evelyne L. Booth, of Virginia Beach; two brothers, James L. Booth, of Bridgewater and Garland M. Booth, of Culpeper; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A funeral service was held at Fairview Cemetery in Culpeper on Sept. 16. The Rev. John S. Farrar officiated. Memorial contributions may be made to Culpeper County Rescue Squad.
