Prisoners convicted
LAWRENCEVILLE — An inmate has been convicted of abducting a guard and three other prisoners during an uprising at the Brunswick Correctional Center last September.
Walter Lee Green, 34, was sentenced to 12 months in prison for each of the four abduction counts.
The Brunswick County Circuit Court jury returned its verdict late Thursday night.
Green was serving a 15-year sentence for convictions of attempted rape and sodomy in Richmond.
