family of Fairfax visited here last weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Phil Hawkins, and with them co-hosted a party at the Hawkins home in honor of the golden wedding anniversary of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Hawkins.

Rev. Fred Gill, who spent last week with Rev. and Mrs. Charles Clinedinst while conducting revival services at Nethers Mill Lighthouse, left Monday to return to his home in Lepanto, Ark.

Schools across the state are joining to sponsor School Bus Safety Week from Sept. 22-28. Everyone is being asked to get involved. Should you see a vehicle passing a stopped school bus, please take down the license number and description of the vehicle and also the driver. Is this too much to ask when in so doing you may help save a life, and especially the little tots who don’t realize the danger of passing vehicles?
