honor. Bridesmaids were Ms. Paula Cheat wood, the groom’s sister, Miss Liz Eastham, the bride’s cousin, and Miss Norma Gibbs.
The attendants wore daphne rose tissue taffeta gowns and carried nosegays of white and lavender daisies with statice and baby’s breath.
Mr. Cheatwood was best man for his son. Groomsmen were James Pray Baker Jr., Clarence William Trenum Jr, and Michael Miller Massie.
The reception followed on the lawn. The four-tiered wedding cake was made by the bride’s aunt Mrs. Thomas Massie, who also directed the wedding.
After their wedding trip to Newport, R. I., the cquple is living in Fauquier. -f.
Mrs. Cheatwood is a graduate of Longwood College and is teaching in the Fauquier County public school system.
Mr. Cheatwood attended the University of Miami and Emory and Henry College. He is employed by the law firm of Compton, Compton and Potter in Manassas.
