Against Manassas Park, Rappahannock again took an early lead, pulling out by 22 at the half, but this time never looked back to win by 37 points.
The Panthers applied a little defensive pressure in that second quarter and “overwhelmed” the visitors, Voorhees said. The Cougars missed all four free throw attempts and hit just two field goal tries.
“I don’t know how many they threw up there, but it wasn’t many,” the coach said.
Following the Page game Tuesday, the Panthers travel to Clarke County and the district’s Co-MVP, Carla Holmes on Thursday night, then return to a busy schedule next week, hosting Luray Monday, traveling to Strasburg on Tuesday then hosting George Mason Sept. 26.
