Henry H. Atkins
Henry Harrison Atkins, 54, of Front Royal, died on Sept. 15 in Warren Memorial Hospital. Mr. Atkins
was a native and former resident of Rappahannock County. He was the son of Mrs. Maggie Frye Atkins,
of Washington, and the late Ashby Atkins. His wife was the late
Ellen Virginia Atkins. Mr. Atkins was a farmer.
His survivors include his mother; four sons, Henry H. Atkins, Jr., of Marshall, Larry Wayne Atkins and
Robert Ashby Atkins, both of Manassas, and Ray Allen Atkins, Sr.,
of Delaplane; two daughters, Geraldine Jennings and Ellen Me Jennings,
both of Front Royal; 11 grandchildren; three brothers, Eugene
Atkins, of Atlanta, Ga., Fred Atkins, of Washington, and J.E. Atkins,
of Union Beach, N.J.; and two sisters, Janie Estes, of Whittier,
Calif., and Emily Price, of Union Beach, N.J.
A funeral service was held today at Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper. The Rev. Kirby Shenk officiated. Interment followed in Sperryville Cemetery.
Geest-Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
