Sanctioned races at Fairfax are a $1,000 open turf race at a mile and a half, a $4,000 maiden steeplechase over 2% miles, a $4,000 claiming steeplechase, price $10,000, at 2‘/« miles, and a $5,000 open ’chase at 2Vi miles.

The final race of the day is the featured $6,000 Bowman Bowl. Thfe is an open timber race at three miles and should attract a quality field of Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania timber horses.
