Historical society members

are seeking information on the oldest houses in Rappahannock.

This information is necessary for the publication of the first annual to be published at the end of this year.

Roaring lions, waltzing horses and trumpeting elephants and other animals will be featured when a three-ring circus comes to Washington Saturday at the Washington Carnival Grounds.

The annual Dog Mart, sponsored in part by the Rappahannock chapter of the Issac Walton League is scheduled for Oct. 2. the mart begins with a parade and ends with a dog sale, some prices raning from $50 to $100.

The Rappahannock jaycees are sponsoring a fishing contest Sunday, to be held at the Davis Lake just East of Washington. Boys ages 8-12 are eligible.

Ten dollars in cash prizes in three different categories, will be awarded the winners.
