All of them enjoyed the planetarium where they learned about stars and the constellations. Camper James Hense explained that they saw five constellations. “Me and Berry and James and Tommy and Jessie and Kelly and Patrick saw the comet through binoculars. It looked like a fuzzy ball,” said camper Justin Burger.
“I just thought that it [the comet] would look like a big firey marshmallow coming through the sky,” Devin added.
Campers had a favorite song. “My mommy gave me a penny so I could I see Jack Denny; I did not see Jack Denny; I brought some Bubble Gum,” sang Rebecca Tupper.
All five of the campers who were interviewed also made lots of new friends that weekend. “I knew one person and got to know the others in the room I was staying in,” Rebecca stated.
“We had lots of fun together in the room when we had rest time,” Brittany added about her new friends.
fcven though the weekend was somewhat cold, and as James explained, they could not go swimming they all enjoyed themselves.
