At noon, entrants in the Paul Mellon Foxhunter’s Chase will enter the paddock.
Post time for the first sanctioned steeplechase is set for 1:30 p.m. The six races then run at a rate of one per Half hour, with post time for the featured Virginia Gold Cup at 3:43 p.m.
Television and radio broadcasts will take the racing to the people, with live radio in the Washington, D.C. metro area from 3-4 p.m. A special, one-hour Gold Cup television show will air on the Prime Sports Network during prime time May 9 and 10.
Remember, only advance tickets may be purchased for the Gold Cup. This is most important to remember — tickets are available throughout the area this week.
