the theme “Honor God,” a special prayer event will take place from 12 until 2 p.m. on the Culpeper courthouse lawn with the choir from Culpeper Christian School bringing the^pecial music and the public is invited to this service.

Mrs. Alvin Atkins of Sperryville was a .‘Friday overnight guest of her niece, Mrs. Joe Peregory, .Mr. Peregory and Jennifer. Saturday Mrs, Atkins, Mrs. Donna Dodson and Mrs. Harvey Tharp were shopping in Fredericksburg and dined at Southpoint-3 restaurant, formerly Chasons. On Sunday Mrs. Atkins visited her cousins, Harry and Eunice Meier and her aunt, Mrs. Helton Jenkins, all of whom are residents at Culpeper Health Care Center.

Mr. Owen Cubbage of Richmond Road accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Terry Cubbage to Locust Grove Sunday afternoon for the birthday party for Mr. John Southard.

Magic Theatre 1, a children’s show will be presented this weekend; Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m., at the Windmore Foundation Cultural Center, Griffinsburg. For more information call 547-2555.

A reminder that this Saturday at the Culpeper Agriculture Enterprises there will be a benefit auction for the Reva Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company. Lunch will be served at the auction which begins at 10.

Featured in the local news columns of “Friends and Neighbors” last .week, was Mr. John Toth, principal of Carver Piedmont school. Students and former students in our area remember him as a former principal of Rappahannock High School.
