Inducted
Nine students who attend Lord Fairfax Community College at the Fauquier Campus wered recently inducted into Alpha Beta Omega Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, Internation Honor Society for students enrolled in two-year colleges.
In order to be selected into Phi Theta Kappa, students must be fulltime, maintain a minimum 3.5 average (out of 4.0), and meet other criteria.
The initiation ceremony followed a banquet held at the Middletown Campus of LFCC on April 13.
New members of Phi Theta Kappa from LFCC/Fauquier include Lynne Anstine, Remington; Anna Boreland and* Amy Glascock, Marshall; Stephanie Chamaj and Gwen Stum, Bealton; Sarah Francis and Robert Toler, Broad Run; Kimberley McKinney, Hume; and Joyce Wharton, Sperryville.
A total of 43 students from both campuses were inducted, the largest number ever to qualify for acceptance at the spring gathering.
Faculty advisers for the Alpha Beta Omega Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa are David Williams and Annetta Richardson, whose officers are at Middletown.
