On Friday, May 10, Rappahannock County High School will hold its first annual May Fest. This will be a day for teachers, students, and community members to share talents and projects in exhibits and interactive workshops.
The day’s festivities will begin with an assembly featuring Cindy Wayland’s French 2 class in a dramatic presentation of a French African tale “La Cruche” (The Jug). This is a tale of an orphan’s journey through many fantastical situations. Harriette Rosenblatt’s art classes have executed the scenery, masks and other visuals. The assembly will also feature shadow puppet plays performed by 8th grade students from Laurel Van 1 Horn’s English classes and a medley of songs by the Show Choir directed by Melinda Russell.
The students will have an extended lunch hour that day to view exhibits throughout the school and, weather permitting, outdoors as well. These will include projects on view by the technology department, art classes,
