Lindsey Eastham of Washington, was pushed into a light pole in the parking lot, causing $800 damage to the pole. Mr. Mawyer’s Cadillac had $10,000 damage and Mr. Eastham’s Ford suffered $8,000 damage. No one was injured, and no one was charged in the accident, according to Trooper Knick’s accident report.
A water balloon smashed on the windshield of Anita Pumphrey’s vehicle as she drove past the Health Department in Washington last Thursday afternoon about 3:15. According to Major MacWelch of the Sheriffs Office, Ms. Pumphrey said that the water balloon seemed to just fall out of the sky.
A house owned by Diane Auger on Hungry Horse Lane in Sperryville was entered through a window, but it has not been determined if anything is missing from the house.
