This goal has definitely been accomplished! Last year two teams from Rappahannock attended the event and raised $3,450. At a Cancer Society meeting held several weeks ago 12 teams were reported from our county. That was more than Fauquier and Culpeper combined. Those counties had a total of eight teams.
Ms. Johnson said that she is “really very pleased with how many people are responding. Every time we take an update they [people from other counties] just shake their heads and say ‘How is Rappahannock doing this?”’
There is still time to get involved if you are interested. For more information on how you can become a part in this year’s event contact Ester Settle or Dorothy Butler.
