Members of the Planning Commission heard presentations by ENSAT on the water study that the company will do of Sperryville and School Superintendent David Gangel on the proposal for adding a vocational wing to the high school and developing athletic facilities at their meeting last Wednesday.
The Planners decided, after spending 15 minutes on one page, to postpone discussion of the goals and principles chapters in the Comprehensive Plan until next month.
John B. Rice of ENSAT said the water study will include three parts: a review of all the available literature, a study of well recordsd, and aerial photography. The three will be incorporated into a final report that will include maps indicating underground water flows and locations for potential high-yield wells.
Mr. Rice said a high yield well along a fracture zone might affect other wells that tap into the same fracture zone. He said the Sperryville area
