After an uneventful third quarter, the Panthers cemented their first victory of the year behind a pair of freshman in the fourth quarter. On the opening drive of the fourth quarter freshman fullback Alquon Newman carried two times for 28 yards, the second of which resulted in his first career touchdown on a sixyard run. Connor Settle got into the act after intercepting a pass and returning 37 yards to the Timber Ridge two-yard. On the next play, Settle was rewarded with a two-yard touchdown run to give the Panthers a 33-0 edge.
The Panthers defense played spectacular all night, limiting the Titans to 173 yards of total offense and forcing four fumbles and an interception. But late in the fourth quarter, they watched their first shutout slip away as A1 Lasso found Ryan Taft on a short pass, and Taft eluded defenders to race in for a 52yard touchdown for the Titans only score.
