‘Casino’ party
benefits fund
The Rappahannock Hunt will host a charity “casino” night at Airlie near Warrenton on Oct. 13. The party, which is being held in lieu of a hunt ball, is open to all. There will be fun table games, music, dancing and dinner. A raffle features many big ticket items such as four tickets to the Redskins-Cowboys game; a County saddle, lesson packages, dinner at the Inn at Little Washington and more.
Tickets are $100 each. Money raised helps fund a special scholarship named in memory of former hunt member Emily Hilscher, who was killed at Virginia Tech this spring.

The Masters of Foxhounds Association will host its final Centennial Performance hound trials next week, Oct. 8-10. The Rappahannock and Bull Run hunts will host hounds from several different hunts to be handled by guest huntsman Tony Leahy and judged by an MFHA panel There is a special dinner Monday night, Tuesday hunting followed by breakfast and a hound show, a dinner Tuesday night, and Wednesday hunting followed by awards.
