The board did not make a decision about whether to join a Regional Jail Authority with Shenandoah and Warren counties. Leaders in those other two counties have not agreed on the wording of documents associated with the authority's formation. Therefore, the supervisors tabled the issue until their November meeting.
Appointments
The supervisors appointed Jackie Estes as a citizen representative to the Public Safety Committee.
John Norman and Margy Day were reappointed to the Recreational Facilities Authority.
