According to documents from the RNPC, the center’s representatives hope to cover most operating costs for The Link with rents and user fees. But they also want to keep those charges low enough to make the space accessible to groups with tight budgets. The center will have to raise some money for start-up costs, the proposal says.
Cliff Miller has owned The Schoolhouse since the county put it up for auction some 40 years ago.
“I tfiink it's time for that to become a really important place for all the citizens of the county, and the nonprofit group has got the vision to have that happen,” Miller said.
