Did you ever wonder about WHERE all that storm water in our county goes, what it takes with it and how it can affect you and your watershed? Despite the drought come explore this vital topic at RappFLOWs upcoming monthly meeting on Oct 18, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the RappFLOW office (adjacent to the Sperryville School House). Join us for the ERA video “After the Storm," an excellent video focusing on watersheds and storm water, water pollution, the National Park Service, and what citizens can do to support their own watersheds. Watch the video, eat some popcorn, and learn more about this most important issue in Rappahannock County. Oct 20: Rabies Vaccination Clinic

Donated to RAWL by Drs. Renee & John Nolan, the dinic will be held at the Rappahannock Animal Welfare League (RAWL) Route 639 off of U.S. 211 in Amissville by the landfill from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Enjoy live music, speakers, local food and wine, a solar-house tour and a bonfire while learning about the issues surrounding Dominion Virginia Power's proposal to string more 500,000-volt power lines through Rappahannock County. Green vendors are welcome and tailgating is encouraged. The event will be held from 2 p.m. until dark at Jordan i River Farm (6 Shiloh Lane at the comer of Jericho Road and North Poes Road in Hun tty). At dusk, there will be a "Ughtwalk" under the Dominion power lines that cross the farm.
