In 1974, Nash was already a well-known choreographer, performer, and teacher in the Washington, D.C. area when she moved to Rappahannock County and established the Last-Minute Wood Co. This dance/theater group performed under her direction at home and on tour for the next 25 years. The work they did together after 1991 was powerfully influenced by Nash’s practice as a Feldenkrais teacher. In 1989, she founded Workspace for Choreographers, an artists’ retreat in the Blue Ridge that supports experimentation with new ideas.
