areas that could be affected in the near future. Who is to say next year's kindergarten class is, not going to have 70 students. If we remove one teacher this year, then we have to re-hire the next and we will have probably lost a good teacher. It was tried before with the current 8th grade class, and it was a nightmare in my opinion. We lost several good teachers because of the switching around and the instability of moving from grade level to grade level. My children personally suffered because of this experiment.
Yes, there are cuts that can be made, but not at the students expense. Quoting one enrollment number does not show the whole picture. Spend the day in the life of a teacher or come in and volunteer as I do and see how it goes. Then let me know if you think we should cut a teacher or an aide!
