Oct. 20: The Charter meeting

The Sons of Confederate Veterans has formed a new camp in Rappahannock County. The Chester presentation meeting is at the Rappahannock Library on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 7 p. m. This meeting is open to the public and ail are welcome to attend. The Sons of Confederate Veterans is an organization preserving the history and legacy of Confederate heroes so future generations may understand the motives that galvanized the Southern Cause. Demand - Rain Barrels!

The Culpeper Soil & Water Conservation District will be hosting its 2nd ’Build Your Own Rain Barrel* workshop on Saturday, Oct. 20 from 9a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Young Farmers' Pavilion in Madison, VA. Lunch will be provided. Barrels will cost $35 for 1 or $60 for 2, including hardware. Barrels without hardware will cost $15. Barrels can also be purchased without attending the workshop.
