Ann Hofheimer, over a year ago. Jo Ann came to Rappahannock early last spring for two and one half days. At that time I had arranged for her to visit as many businesses and talk with as many people as possible. We had her booked from morning until night? Although Jo Ann had hoped for publication of the article in late spring, it did not happen until September. I have listened to, and read on Rappnet, reactions to this article. They have been extremely positive about the insight and breadth of the coverage. Much thanks to Laura and to Jo Ann whose efforts resulted in a truly classic and classy representation of the “rural and refined” Rappahannock County.

I’ve written a great deal about Apple Hill Bakery, now Pellegatta’s Eatery, in the last several issties. I am feeling that I have neglected our other fine restaurants. So, I just want to say that almost every group of guests that stays at The House on Water Street, over a two day period, usually eats at Thornton River Grille (I make reservations in advance), Rae’s and Rudy’s pizzeria.
