Creative, dynamic professional librarian to become manager and team member of the very busy Ashbura Library Youth Services Department. Will work alongside staff conducting programs, providing reader and reference services, and expanding outreach to the community. Duties also include planning annual slate of youth programs, including Summer Reading Program and extensive early childhood literacy programming; and manage a staff of three FT and one PT employees. The Loudoun County Public Library has been continually ranked by HAPLR as one of the top ten libraries in the country for its services and programs. Master 's degree in Library Science and one year of professional library experience to include supervisory experience in a customer service-driven environment: possess excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, andtechnology skills, as well as knowledge of children's literature and on-line resources. Two years public library experience and supervisory experience preferred. Must obtain certification as a professional librarian by the Commonwealth of Virginia within 6 months of hire.
