Oct 6: It s apple butter time and morel

Come to the Rappahannock Farmers Co-op on Saturday, Oct. 6, to get this year's Lion's Club apple butler. Nothing beats the start of a fall day but some warm toast topped with apple butter. There win be local homemade cakes and pies as well as area farmers selling beef. Students from Wakefield County Day School will be on hand with hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks. Reflective signs on sale

AmissviHe s Open House win have a variety of events kicking off Fire Prevention Week with lots of fun and games as well as glucose and other health screenings. Castleton Community Volunteer Fire Company wl be selling 911 Reflective Emergency signs from 12-4 p.m. at the Open House at Amissville Fire Department on Lee Highway. The cost is $15 and the signs can be made while you wait 'If we cant find you, we cant help you' The reflective numbers help emergency vehicles cut down their response time.
