PEC Spokesman Bob Lazaro snickered at the idea that Dominion believes it deserves extra rebuttal time but that the respondents still would need to meet their existing testimony filing deadline.
“It’s all about Dominion,” said Lazaro, laughing. “They make Scrooge look like a spendthrift.”
The SCC schedule also calls for a Jan. 14, 2008 evidentiary hearing in Richmond.
But staff wants it postponed until Feb. 25, 2008.
Dominion believes it should be held on Feb. 4.
In an interview before Dominion filed its response to the SCC staff extension request, utility spokesman Jim Norvelle said “requests for delays are not uncommon in the regulatory framework.”
