Family Caregiver Workshops
A series of classes providing hands-on training, information and support to family caregivers will be held on Thursdays, Oct. 18 and 25 and Nov. 8 and 15, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Washington Fire Hall. Take one or all four of these workshops which will give you helpful tips on caring for ill and disabled family members. Topics will include handson care, safety, preventing and dealing with problems, managing medications, working with doctors and hospitals, finding resources, financial and legal issues, coping with confusion and dementia and caring for the caregiver. Spenyyille Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary wi be having their Picking Party on Saturday, Oct. 13 at the SpenryviHe Volunteer Fire Department at 6 p.m. Al bluegrass and country bands are welcome. There will be a 5CV50 raffle. The Fire Department Auxiliary wil be selling refreshments. Come out and enjoy a great night of fun and food ir an alcohol and smoke free environment.
