Virginia politicians so far in 2007, according to the VPAP. The only groups that have donated more are the Democratic Party of Virginia and the Senate Leadership Trust, a Republican organization. Allegheny has contributed $9,150 to commonwealth politicians this year.
Johnson said the PLA is nearing its initial fund-raising goal of $150,000.
“We know we’re going to need more money than that, so we need to continue our fund-raising efforts,” Johnson said. “We need the financial support of the community and their commitment to fighting the line.”
