RAAC movie night presents‘Who KMed the Electric Car?” on Friday, Oct. 5 at The Theatre at 8 p.m. In 1996, electric cars began to appear on roads in California. They were quiet and fast, produced no exhaust and ran without gasoline. Ten years later, these cars were destroyed. Why, who and what?

Oct 6: Barbecue and Bluegrass

The Performing Arts Luray will host their third annual ‘Barbecue and Bluegrass’ Oct 6 at the BB&T Center for the Performing Arts. Dinner begins at 6 p.m., with the Jackie Frost Ensemble taking the stage at 7:30. Fans of all ages seem to enjoy the music of the dynamic group, which runs the gamut from bluegrass-powered arrangements of easily recognizable covers to straight ahead delta blue. Tickets are $15 for adults, $14 for seniors and students and $7 for patrons 12 and younger. The Boot Office at the BB&T Center for the Fterformmg Arts opens 45 minutes before the start of the event.
