parents paying $8,330.00 per student to send their children here. Most of them are dbmg so because of the class sizes and the quality of learning. Some, in this county, are sending their children to private schools — Highland ($18,700.00), Notre Dame ($17,085.00), RandolphMacon ($12,482.00) and Wakefield Country Day ($10,620.00). And none of those prices include books or uniform cost. Others are sending their children to small Christian schools that have no athletic programs whatsoever. Moreover, others who are in the education profession take their children to school where they are employed. Others are home schooled or attend Hearthstone, Belle Meade or Montessori schools. If all of the children that reside in this county were to come to Rappahannock County public schools, we would more than likely have a school population of 1,100 students.
