Under current guidelines, our property is too small (28 acres) for a conservation easement. However, our Virginia tax bill is not so small that we can’t use tax credits.
We can support conservation easements in Rappahannock by buying tax credits from our neighbors who earned credits because they were able to put their property into a conservation easement. As the saying goes: do well by doing good.
