their missions. The Link will be dedicated to fostering interaction and cooperation among Rappahannock’s nonprofit and business organizations, government agencies and local citizens.
“At the Living Towns conference that took place at The Schoolhouse a couple months ago, I kept hearing the county planners and administrators and everyone that spoke there calling people to be active in Creating the community they want to reside in in the future,” said Melanie Thornhill Kopjanski, executive director of the RNPC. “And if we aren’t creating what we want, then we will be reacting. The theme I kept hearing is there’s nothing more important than involving as many people as possible in the process.”
RNPC hopes to form an advisory board for The I .ink that will include one member from each of the nine key segments of the county: agriculture, arts, business and tourism, conservation and environment, education, fire and rescue, religious and the Board of Supervisors.
