Forest Grove Baptist Church will have their New Contemporary Service the last Sunday of each month at 11 a. m. This service features The Cross Tones, Forest Grove Baptist Church’s own contemporary band. They have been Number 1 in the weekly ratings on TSR, an Internet Radio Outreach Station. In addition, the Contemporary Service includes a communion service very different from the traditional one along with intercessory prayer and testimonies from those present. We invite anyone looking for a contemporary service to come and experience a new kind of service the last Sunday of each month. Our next Contemporary Service will be Sunday, Sept. 30 at 11 a.m. Anyone looking to use their musical talents and gifts in a contemporary service are encouraged to contact Rev. Paul D. Washington Baptist Church will be celebrating its 125th anniversary this Homecoming Sunday, Oct. 7. This special occasion will feature Rev. Richard “Lanny” Horton, Director of Missions for the Shiloh Baptist Association, who will not only be the guest preacher but will also share information about the new history of the Shiloh Association. Everyone is invited to attend. Activities will begin at 9:45 k. m. with a program emphasizing the history of Washington Baptist Church and of the Shiloh Baptist Association. A time of worship and remembrance will take place at the 11 a. m. service and following that everyone will be asked to adjourn to the front steps of the church for a picture.
